New for 2023 is the TOP DOG Competition. The TOP DOG competition focuses on conformation, temperament and performance sports. As we all know the Rat Terrier is a very versatile dog that can succeed in ANY competition. Join in to see who has the TOP DOG
Top Dog Competitors will be featured in the 2023 National Specialty Catalog and the winners will be featured on this website! RTCA Members can use titles earned to apply for the new RTCA Versatility Award!
Entries for this event will open on 05/31/23. For more information, titles and rules of each event, please go to the AKC website.
RULES:

Entered Rat Terrier must show in Conformation at the RTCA National on 10/27/23 and must complete 1 leg minimally of their ATT evaluation. ATT Evaluator will be onsite 10/27/23. If the dog has already titled in ATT, owner must bring proof.

Entered Rat Terrier must compete in at least one other performance event, due to scheduling these events may take place 10/27-10/29.

Handler must obtain tally sheet from club table on 10/27/23 and must submit by 2 PM 10/29/23.

Rat Terrier may participate in as many events as they choose to.

Professional handlers are allowed per AKC Rules.

Different handlers are allowed for multiple events.

Participants must show proof of placements (ribbons or score sheet) at club table, representative will sign off on each scoring.

Entry Fee of $50 must be received by 10/01/23 in order to participate, there will be no refunds if the entered dog does not participate.

Entrant is responsible for all additional entry/evaluation fees for each event entered.

Entrant is to follow all rules for each event they have entered and follow AKC rules of good Sportsmanship.
